★ = I didn’t like it
I finished it in the hope that it would take a different turn or out of morbid curiosity to see a train-wreck through.
It didn’t work for me at all and I probably have regrets. A rare rating.

I didn’t dislike it, but I was disappointed or not impressed. Good core ideas, but either poorly executed or showcasing other glaring flaws in regards to characters, pacing, plot, or writing style.
★★★ = I liked it
It kept me interested throughout. I’ll possibly revisit it at some point, and I’d recommend it to anyone who likes the genre/author or finds the synopsis intriguing.
★★★★ = I really liked it
Worthwhile, highly enjoyable reading experience, I’ll check out other works by this author.
★★★★★ = it was amazing
I try to not give this rating too lightly. 5-star books touched me, made a profound impression on me, and stayed with me for a long time after finishing… or were simply a really good time that I can’t find anything wrong with.
